Gold Coast cultural precinct

With the news that ARM Consortium has won the Gold Coast cultural precinct competition this week, we thought we'd re-share a video created by Natalie Erika James of our trip to Currumbin in the Gold Coast last year.

As part of the CAPITheticAL competition, our partnership between here studio, David Lock Associates and ARUP, also known as The Engagement Studio proposed the idea of a roving national capital for Australia, with the Gold Coast being the first capital! Through running a Pecha Kucha and other engagement activities on-site in Currumbin we met many of the local artists and creative types... the GC is buzzing! | MEJ

EVENT: Pecha Kucha Melbourne vol. 21

We made you wait... and then wait some more... but we are thrilled to announce: Pecha Kucha Melbourne vol. 21!!!

The theme is.....
wait, for it...

SORRY WE'RE LATE!

(yes, really!)

We know its been a while since our last Pecha Kucha, so we thought we’d gather everyone for a Sunday roast, to find out how everyone has been spending their time.

Time is, after all, the ultimate material of any creative. You can’t make anything without at least a little time. And a little is never enough….

We want to know about the projects that have been taking their time, and yours; the slow burners, the ones that ran late, the deadlines missed and misplaced, the hang-ups, the holds ups, the G.F.C, the “wait and see”. The ideas that were ahead of their time and the ones that were “exactly two days slow”.

Sunday 4 August 2013
3-5pm for a lazy afternoon followed by a roast dinner
