Caitlyn, Ammon and I went to visit Jules and Darren in Mordialloc on Wednesday night.
We were in the middle of presenting the second plan when the storm arrived.
We all scrambled to the playroom to save the toys + books from the rain which was leaking through the roof. Bowls and buckets were filling up quickly and a stream of water could be seen through the north window. The gutters must be blocked! - so Ammon and Darren ran outside to remove the leaves.
Ivy was a little bit scared, she is only 3 years old. Ash, who is six, was telling us about how the last time there was a storm the whole street had turned into a river. We understand first-hand why there is a flood overlay on the site.
Ammon and Darren come back inside, soaking wet, needing towels. We all sit back down for really yummy French Earl Grey tea and banana muffins that Jules and Ivy had made the same morning.
"Now you know why we need to renovate", says Jules.
